The National Association of REALTORS®’ top elected leaders, President William E. Brown and President-elect Elizabeth Mendenhall, were named this week — along with a select group of REALTOR® association executives — among Inman’s Real Estate Influencers list for 2017. What sets Brown and Mendenhall apart from many of the other practitioners on the list is the work they’re doing to sustain and elevate the association’s members.
“I know firsthand that the work we do is extremely relevant to both our members and the property owners we serve,” Brown said in a message to members on leadership.realtor, a website that introduces the 214 officers, liaisons, and committee leaders for 2017. “We’re shaping NAR policy and fighting — at all levels of government — for rules that are conducive to your business. And we’re striving to ensure that you have access to state-of-the-art tools that will help you retain a valuable, central role in an increasingly tech-dominated world.”
Mendenhall’s message on the site focused on the value of unity: “When we can mobilize around common causes and a common vision,” she said, “we are unstoppable.”
REALTOR® organization executives included among the Influencers: NAR CEO Dale Stinton; Senior Vice President of Marketing & Business Development Bob Goldberg; REALTORS Property Resource® President Marty Frame; Joel Singer, CEO of the California Association of REALTORS®; Bob Hale, president and CEO of the Houston Association of REALTORS®; and Chad Curry, managing director of NAR’s Center for REALTOR® Technology.
