For the first time, more users globally are using the internet from their mobile devices than from computers, according to StatCounter, an internet monitoring firm.
The combined traffic from mobile and tablet devices reached 51.2 percent, compared with 48.7 percent for desktop and laptop access, StatCounter reports. Further, Google reported that as of last May, more searches are being conducted on mobile platforms than on computers.
